MISSION OF THE LAKE HAVASU CITY MILITARY MOMS... SUPPORT - Lake Havasu City Military Moms was formed in June 2013. We were formerly the Blue Star Mothers of Havasu, Chapter AZ 1. We formed as a support group for mothers who have children in harm’s way as they serve in the United States Armed Forces. Our mission also includes providing support and assistance to veterans in need. Our veterans have sacrificed a great deal so that we Americans can continue to enjoy our freedoms, and it is everyone’s duty to support them when they need it. COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION - We participate in all patriotic and veteran-related events in the community, and are often asked to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. The Military Moms are a respected part of our community, and it is our duty to support our community and other organizations in Lake Havasu City. We participate in Patriot Guard Riders Welcome Home and Deployment missions. These events are important to our troops, as they show how much their community cares and supports them. The missions are usually held Saturdays at either the American Legion or the VFW, and sometimes other locations. We send notices to members about upcoming missions. CARE PACKAGES - We send care packages several times a year to our local troops serving overseas. Please see details at "Care Packages." Lake Havasu City Military Moms is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and incorporated in the State of Arizona.
